Photo's by Roger Zellmer and Linda Willingham of our Reno trip in January 2006

Conrad, Kathy, and Linda waiting for the Paul Anka concert to begin. It was an excellent performance.
Yours truly and my charming wife Linda..
The Truckee River the morning after we evacuated from the Hilton KOA Park. We had to get up at 4:00 a.m. to move. Linda was not a happy camper.
The water was about to go over the bridge.
The street is right in front of the Hilton. My inflatable kayak would not fit under this bridge.
The Reno DMV was in danger of being flooded. Fortunately the rain stopped and the river quit rising.
On our way home on hwy 6 the 2nd day of the new year. It was a miracle that we made it over Montgomery Pass in this heavy wet snow. I did not install chains. My tires are All Weather Michelin, which performed very well in the snow. Stopping was a problem however. I definitely should have put my chains on the truck. I think I also need to buy a pair of chains for the trailer to facilitate stopping.
The traction I had with the truck and 5th wheel was excellent, I guess because of that 2,100 pounds of tongue weight from the 5th wheel.
Look at the size of the these snow flakes. I loved the excitement and fun of driving in the snow, but the fun would have been gone if I ended up in he ditch.
This is our site at the Bishop RV Park we stayed in. We had to wait for a kid to shovel out our spot.
Departing the next morning in Bishop California.
They got allot of snow for this elevation.
It was a beautiful clear crisp morning at 26 F. The Sierra Nevada Mountains were beautiful.
Meghan couldn't wait to get into the snow for a romp. I took her for a mile walk along a canal road. She had a wonderful time running and digging holes in the white stuff.
There were areas of fog in the Owens Valley.
South of Bishop 395 was in excellent dry condition with very little traffic. We had a pleasant ride home while listening to a mystery book CD named "The Color of Night"
