Photos by Roger Zellmer and Linda - Hiawatha Bike Trail - June 2003 -

The start of the beautiful Hiawatha bike trail which was converted from and old train route through Outlook Pass in Idaho.
This tunnel was 1.6 miles long, very cool temperature, wet, scary, and very very dark. There were trenches on each side with water running in them that need to be avoided or a crash could result.
Lana posing in front of a pretty water falls.
The scenery was worth the ride and the grade was only 2%.
My Schwinn Mountain bike has held up well for about 5 years now.
The air smelled good and was so clear after the rains of the previous few days.
Small wild life was abundant on the trail.
View from the top of a train trestle. The high trestles that Linda was worried about had safety cables.
A German biker photographer insisted on taking this picture of me because of the excellent back drop.
Mr. Moose in a Beaver Pond. We saw him on the scary bus shuttle service out of the canyon.
He wasn't concerned in the slightest about our presence.
The shuttle bus and the bike trail Marshal who enforced the rules.
