Salt Creek the home of the ancient pup fish in
Death Valley |
 |
We
took a three mile ranger lead walkalong this creek. The main
topic was the pup fish. |
 |
Linda enjoyed the walk in the brisk
afternoon air in the low 60's. |
 |
This is a marshy habitat that
harbored several species of birds and ducks stopping for a rest while on their
migration paths |
 |
This was getting to be too steep a drop
off to suit Linda. She aborted the hike as it got steeper and
higher |
 |
On our 2nd day we drove approximately
60 miles from Furnace Creek to Scotty's Castle. |
 |
At 3,000'
elevation the weather was a quiet brisk in the 50 |
 |
This was
our guide, a bit on the porky side.We did the house tour and the
underground tour. |
