The drive up to
Trapper's lake was in beautiful green ranch country, NFS meadows.
Followed the White River most of the way. I wanted to raft it bad
but the in-laws wanted to see Trappers Lake. |
 |
This is a stream
leaving Trapper's Lake. Matt and yours truly on the far side of
the wood bridge. |
 |
It must be a very
scenic lake in the summer which is only a few months long at 9,000' +
elevation. |
 |
As you can see the
lake still had a lot of ice on it. |
 |
Bill Taylor my
father-in-law took the lake pictures. Didn't get any pictures of
Meghan, but she went crazy running and digging in the snow. |
 |
The trail to
this spot could have been made easier with snow shoes. |
 |
On the ride back we
were held up by rancher's moving their cattle on the public road.
In this country cows, horses, and ATV's have the right away. |
 |
This cowboy still
used the old fashion horse. |
 |
It took us 15 minutes
to pass this mass of future steaks. |
 |
Lambs rollicking in
the grass near a reservoir. |
 |
Mom wait for me. |
 |
This was NFS land
which apparently was leased for grazing. |
