Conundrum Trail Head in the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness.
There was still a fair amount of snow on May 22, but the first 2 miles of the trail was mostly clear of snow.  Beyond that snow shoes and/or ice axes were required.
Meghan had  real fun time digging in the snow.
Little creeks were running down the mountains all over the place.
Meghan really enjoyed the mountain smells of deer, elk, bear, or what ever.  It was NFS land so I let her run in the relatively open country.
She stayed close to us with a little coaxing.
The air up here was heavenly clear and clean.  Hiking in the mountains is so enlightening.
