Photos by Roger - Colorado - Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP - June 2008
Arriving at Black Canyon on the Gunnison NP.
Lupine was blooming at its peak.
8,000' up here and spring has sprung.
After parking the 5th wheel in the NP camp ground Meghan and I took a drive down the very curvy road to the Gunnison River.
very nice view of the snow capped mountains up here.
The spring bloom.
I drove along the canyon to look down into the gorge.
The Gunnison River through the park is very dangerous and only hard shell kayaks can make it through, if they portage a 1/2 mile stretch through poison oak./td>
  Indian paint brush.

This gorge is really deep.

Yours truly near my camping site, located in scrub oak.  It was very peaceful and dark up here, but no water or sewer.
