We all agreed to cancel our Big Bend Texas trip because of snow, cold, and ice.  Next morning we all headed for Organ Pipe National Monument Park in Southwest Arizona.   On the way we drove past this observatory.  Didn't visit because we would have to disconnect our trailers to get up the road.

Taking a break and exercising the dogs
Some pretty Saguaro cactus on Indian Reservation land driving to Organ Pipe.
Stan and Joy Rae after lunch.
We arrived in Organ Pipe mid afternoon.  This is a beautiful dessert park with more cactus than any other park I have been in.  The camp ground had dense vegetation, huge sites, with full large concrete slabs, but with no hook ups.
The dogs had to watch out for cactus needles.  The Paloverde trees were lush.
A few clouds the 2nd day.
The 2nd day we took a 4.5 mile hike to Victoria Mine.  Joy Rae and I having a healthy snack for energy!
Stan and I looking over some of the mining artifacts.
This park has mountain ranges to the east and west.  I really want to visit this scenic place again.  Coupled with the outstanding weather in the winter and the dark skies, this is my kind of vacation destination.
There were some original artifacts still in this structure.
Joy Rae did very well on this hike for someone not used to longer hikes.
