The welcoming cute guide who met us at the airport and drove us to our hotel.
This lodge was rustic with huge rooms and a good restuarant.
Totem poles near entrance to the lodge.
The view from the restuarant was a wet one, but the beautiful old growth rain forest was very soothing after a day of flying.
Our wonderful friend's Conrad and Kathy who are treating us to this trip to Alaska.
Our first flight out of Reno was cancelled causing us to miss 2 nights on the ship.Kathy was relieved after we got new flights to Ketchikan.
A beautiful maple tree right at the entrance to our room.
There were shops on a board walk right along Ketchikan Creek.
Just up stream a bit this creek had roaring rapids.
I decided it was too dangerous for my inflatable kayak.
Walking on the board walk along the creek. Kathy and Linda wearing their new ponchos. I also purchased one because there was room for my camera under it.
Flower and pollenator.
We decided to visit the Totem Heritage Center, Eagle Rescue, and fish hatchery.
Made from a cedar tree.
A rescue eagle.
Our guide for eagle rescue and fish hatchery. She did a great job.
I got up just in time to watch our missed ship Radiance of the Seas coming into port at Ketchikan. We got on board about 2 hours after seeing it arrive.
